Zero Hedge — Senators Seek "Crushing" Sanctions For Russia In New Bill

Let's see now. US is sanctioning Russia, China, North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, and threatening the Philippines, Turkey and India for purchasing non-US weapons, as well as threatening secondary sanctions on everyone, with possible exceptions for allies, for purchasing Iranian oil after sanctions become effective. Oh, and did I mention the trade disputes with Canada and Mexico.

Exactly who is isolated here? Talk about painting yourself into a corner.

And economic warfare is a form of warfare. So WWIII is already on. Are you ready for it?

Don't believe me?
Notably, part of the legislation would require the State Department to make an assessment on whether Russia should be designated as a state sponsor of terrorism.
At the same time, now that the Syrian Armed Forces are recapturing territory they are finding weapons manufactured in the US, Britain, France, and Israel in ISIS and Al Nusra stocks, as well as discovering the White Helmets fake-news-about-chemical-weapons production facility. Sorry, no made-in-Russia weapons.

Now exactly who are the terrorists here?

US backs down on sanctioning India, eats crow. (For those whose first language is not English, "to eat crow" means to get humiliated.)
US Congress has passed its 2019 National Defense Authorization Act, granting India a waiver against punitive sanctions on countries who do business with the Russian defense industry, the Times of India has reported.

Good analysis, Mr. Hickey. But one must blame the American people who are simply brain-dead for these outrages. I do not see where exposure to these simple facts lights up any part of their brains.

Yes. Recall that the USA blockaded Japan in order to starve the island nation of food, oil, and vital materials, so that Japan would be goaded into war. Initially the USA tightly packed together old ships and aircraft in the Philippines so the Japanese could easily bomb them. These ships and aircraft were obsolete, and were due to be scrapped anyway. However Japan didn’t take the bait.

So the USA further tightened the blockade against the Japanese, and invited them to attack Pearl Harbor. Once again, old and obsolete ships and aircraft were moved from San Diego to Pearl Harbor, where they were packed tightly together so the Japanese could easily bomb them.

(Aircraft carriers, however, were sent away from Hawaii, since carriers would be needed for the war that the USA was setting up.)

Meanwhile the USA started attacking and seizing German merchant naval ships on the high seas, long before war was formally declared.

The USA is the ultimate state sponsor of terrorism. World War II is already afoot.

World War II is already afoot.

WWII was already underway during the later stages of WWII, when OSS (forerunner to the CIA) and US/UK "diplomats" were trying to recruit high level Germans, inducing Nazis, for the coming war with the USSR and international communism.

There were many more key points, such the MI6/CIA overthrow of the democratically elected Iranian government an installation of the Shah, who ushered in a reign of terror, the Baby of Pigs, which turned out to be a fiasco for the perps, the Cuban missal crisis, Vietnam, the overthrow of socialist Allende and installation of dictator Pinochet, using in another reign of terror, the first Gulf War, the attack on Serbia, the broken promise to Gorbie and NATO expansion toward Russia's borders, 9/11, the second Iraq war, the overthrow of Gaddafi in Libya ushering chaos there, the attempted overthrow of Assad, the encirclement of Russia and China, the economic war of sanctions, and the coming ? with Iran.

There's been a march toward a kinetic war between the developed world represented by liberal democracies and the emerging world represented by the combination of traditionalism and socialism going on since WWI, when the imperial age led by the West was morphing into the neo-imperial age that the West is still seeking to dominate.
