That study about the health risks of red meat: An excellent news report — Andrew Gelman

Most interesting for the analysis of the process relative to statistical reasoning and news reporting, which happens to be the bedrock of economics and the narratives based on conventional economics. Short and not wonkish.

My patent remedy for insomnia: available only to MMTers:

1. Small amount of meat and cabbage every day. 2. Half an hour of exercise: must be a VARIETY of types of exercise - e.g. press ups plus jogging is better than just jogging. I also do 5 minuts of digging in the garden: shovelling earth back and forth.

I read somewhere that cabbage has an enzyme which helps you dispose of caffeine: maybe why it works.
