Ambrose Evans-Pritchard — Europe's manhandling of Greece is a strategic gift to Russia's Vladimir Putin

'Greece is a sovereign country with an unquestionable right to exploit its geopolitical role,' says premier Alexis Tsipras in Moscow
Europe is doing a great job of destabilizing itself over — what else? — money. Funny how Putin's name comes up when all he is doing is laughing up his sleeve at the crass stupidity.

  2. But not a lot else.

He's still convinced Russia is short of money.

  3. So Tsipras thinks “Greece is a sovereign country with an unquestionable right to exploit its geopolitical role”. Translated into plain English that’s: “Greece is a nation of tax dodgers. It cheated its way into the EZ in the first place. You can’t expect a nation like that to have any PRINCIPLES. That is, it will suck up to just anyone (Putin, Hitler, you name it) as long as that produces some free money”.
