Mike, the cliche "it's the new normal, get used to it" is no joke. Climate scientists say that unless we take immediate actions to curb climate change [fat chance], we better adapt to it.
So... you guys are freakin' right on the coast where at most you are 10 meters above sea level, take a meter here and there. Regrettably, all I can say is move NYC at least 50 miles inland -- Penn Station, Emmpire State Bldg. and all (forget MSG; it's decrepit) :(
