You don't have a surplus to distribute unless you have a system of production generating that surplus through decisions about the allocation of finite and costly amounts of natural resources, existing capital resources and labor. And you can't sustain a system of production, which includes a viable and sustainably just social order, unless the output of the production is distributed in a way that maintains the pattern of allocation and the labor contributions that are needed to keep it going.<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
