Thinking more about all of this...

(at least directly, but did aid stability) (I think we said so at the time)

Now here when they take it back, although it may not be a hit to AD (it is not a broad tax per se), perhaps it puts pressure on FA prices as something has to be sold to raise funds to give back to the govt?

so we may not see any hit in AD/Sales from this just maybe a small sell off in FAs..Matt Frankohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11978352335097260145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2761684730989137546.post-13609258079820303982010-11-18T06:59:37.922-05:002010-11-18T06:59:37.922-05:00TB,
Are you including the 20B AIA ipo AIG did in...TB,

Are you including the 20B AIA ipo AIG did in Hong Kong in USD in your net AIG figures to the Fed/Treasury?

this AIG fiscal xfer and now the GM one today may be why stocks and bonds have ran into trouble so far this month...source of funds?

Good catch on the AIG I missed that one.... Combined the AIG and the GM may total about 25-30B.. that is substantial for one month.

Once this fiscal xfer is over it may be a return to previous trend.Matt Frankohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11978352335097260145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2761684730989137546.post-83080250811892094842010-11-18T02:26:50.350-05:002010-11-18T02:26:50.350-05:00What artificial lending standards are you talking...What artificial lending standards are you talking about?!?!?!!?!?DoggeyStyleMikey_AHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00937751721906705752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2761684730989137546.post-71880923377506791072010-11-17T19:14:07.474-05:002010-11-17T19:14:07.474-05:00AIG paid 36.7 bln to FRBNY and Drew 22bln from Tre...AIG paid 36.7 bln to FRBNY and Drew 22bln from Treasury tarp credit line this month also for net negative of 14.7 bln.
Unrelated, a positive T.I.C. flow of 81.7 bln for the month doesn't hurt.Ryan Harrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04815033054435303399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2761684730989137546.post-27804210202835914142010-11-17T12:18:21.988-05:002010-11-17T12:18:21.988-05:00Getting taxpayers "off the hook," right?...Getting taxpayers "off the hook," right??mike normanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03296006882513340747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2761684730989137546.post-56733568950393205032010-11-17T12:12:45.126-05:002010-11-17T12:12:45.126-05:00Good point!Good point!mike normanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03296006882513340747noreply@blogger.com
