SouthFront —YouTube Bans SYRIANGIRL’s Video About Her Facebook Ban – for ‘Hate Speech’

Censorship strikes again. Google, FaceBook, say it isn't so. Sure looks like it. (Google owns YouTube).

Is the window closing and the blinds being drawn?

  1. That’s nothing compared to the utter farce surrounding “hate speech” and “hate crimes” in the UK. Bit of a long story this, but worth if you’re interested in justice and matters legal.

The UK government body that mounts prosecutions on behalf of the government is the “Crown Prosecution Service”. The UK police and the CPS have got together and produced a definition of “hate crime”. It’s as follows (you ought to be able to spot the flaw in it, but for those who don’t spot it, I’ll explain below):

"Any criminal offence which is perceived by the victim or any other person, to be motivated by hostility or prejudice based on a person's race or perceived race; religion or perceived religion; sexual orientation or perceived sexual orientation; disability or perceived disability and any crime motivated by hostility or prejudice against a person who is transgender or perceived to be transgender."

Well according to that definition, a crime becomes a “hate crime” through simple reason of it being “perceived” as a hate crime!! And not necessarily by the victim: according to the above definition, a crime becomes a hate crime if “any other person” perceives it as a hate crime.

Imagine being in court charged for murder, and being found guilty because some drunk wandered into court and said he “perceived” that murder had taken place!!!

Incidentally the head of the CPS, Alison Sauders, gets £600,000 a year because of her alleged amazing legal expertise. You’d think with that amazing level of expertise, she’d be able to do a bit better when it comes to defining a particular type of crime.
