Ukraine SITREP: the promised “major Ukrainian counter-attack” ends in disaster (too early to tell much about the "offensive" but at this point it seems more tactical and informational than operational and strategic, as claimed.)

Scott Ritter to Sputnik: Any Afghan Pilots Who Make Way to Ukraine Will Be on a ‘Suicide Mission’ (The post is interesting in that it refers to thousands of Afghan military that emigrated and are potentially available for a mercenary force. It's a job, after all.)

Ukraine has hobbled Russia's Black Sea Fleet. Could it turn the tide of the war? (Another one for the rubes. Interesting though for the claim that two Ukrainian-made Neptune missiles took out the Moskva, as the US claimed at the time of the sinking. But most of the rest of the article is clueless about naval warfare and combined arms operations.)

  1. Tom,

They're not "rubes." Russia has no navy and a practically non-existent air force. The only thing they seem capable of doing is lobbing artillery for periods of time. It's an outmoded WWI strategy. Ukraine can definitely turn the tide with additional arms from the U.S.
