US Democrats are to the 'right' of Canadian Conservatives. American women don't have a viable option to vote for, compared to Canada or Europe. Thus, our social safety nets are better.

MMT's main thought leaders are women. Nobody in power is taking them seriously. That might sound chauvinist, but I think it's true.
