ReplyDeleteWe need more people like you in the media who understand that stimulus efforts have been extremely underwhelming and that the deficit shouldn't be a concern right now. Almost everyone I see talks about the dangers of the debt. It's sickening.
Unfortunately, there's little room in the media discourse for nuanced, counter-intuitive perspectives.
Happy Birthday Mike! Are we going to get some optimism from you? Looks to me like MMT is starting to get more traction. Lots more blogs and TV appearances for MMT'ers. Anyway, I hope we can get some video of your appearance somehow?. No TV here at work.

He has stated that there is no credible deposit insurance in ECB zone as they have no fiscal authority like the US Treasury that can appropriate to the FDIC (if Congress is smart enough to realize it wont create "debt")....tomorrow should be interesting in the Eurozone.
