Quote of the Day: John Kenneth Galbraith

"As I have urged on earlier occasions, there are no useful propositions in economics that cannot be stated accurately in clear, unembellished and generally agreeable English."

John Kenneth Galbraith, Economics in Perspective: A Critical History (Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1987), p. 4

  1. I guess clear, unembellished and generally agreeable English must be subjective.

On the other hand, if I, an ecomomic neophyte can understand it, we should be able to make progress. But, I have no political agenda. I just want to be able to leave my kids the notion they live in a great country.
