An economics, investment, trading and policy blog with a focus on Modern Monetary Theory (MMT). We seek the truth, avoid the mainstream and are virulently anti-neoliberalism.
I think Ryan sez: "Uh...I already have some Bibles"... well he certainly isn't reading them then is he??!! But he probably bought everyone he knows free tickets to the Ayn Rand movies.
LOL!
The Apostle Paul (how ironic) warned the ecclesia in Colosse a long time ago:
"Beware that no one shall be despoiling you through philosophy and empty seduction, in accord with human tradition, in accord with the elements of the world, and not in accord with Christ" (Col 2:8)
That Ryan has no real response for the fellow making inquisitions of him is evidence that Ryan has not thought his positions thru, "in accord with Christ". Ryan has some real "soul searching" to do.
Also, he is very terse and dismissive, and disrespectful of a fellow Christian here who is just seeking to help him (but also imo out of line with the cameras running, gotcha! type thing, etc.).
Again, Ryan is also outside of Paul's teachings here (really they both are):
"12 Put on, then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, pitiful compassions, kindness, humility, meekness, patience, 13 bearing with one another and dealing graciously among yourselves, if anyone should be having a complaint against any. According as the Lord also deals graciously with you, thus also you." (Col 12-13)
If nothing else, hopefully this type of "heat" will get Ryan to reconsider his zealousness for "Reason". But he already may be too far gone.
Yes they have him checkmated... what can he say? "Uh...I'd like to do the right thing but we can't afford it"? The moron.
Here's another one:
From "Reason" Magazine, sponsored by the Koch's on the Libertarian side of earthly philosophy. The depraved soul who wrote this article making fun of a Leftist for so to speak "talking to animals" sums it up like this:
"Speaking for the subaltern is not exclusively a practice of the left. Recently two fetuses testified against reproductive rights during a hearing of the Ohio state legislature. Lying on gurneys in the hearing room, two pregnant women were scanned by an ultrasound machine as a video monitor broadcast the images and sounds of their fetuses’ beating hearts. The fetuses were there to contribute their unwitting support to the “heartbeat bill,” which would ban abortions in Ohio as soon as a heartbeat could be detected, except in medical emergencies.
So let us use the apparent absurdities of this book to question our own equally absurd but also imperialistic claims about the beliefs and aspirations of those we do not know."
I wonder if all of the evangelicals around the Tea Party realize that the Koch Brothers support suppression of the rights of the unborn over what they perceive as potential "imperialistic claims"? And equate ultrasound images of unborn human beings with talking to the animals?

Probably trouble ahead for that alliance too.
