Randy Wray lays it on

Strong stuff. Bravo, Randy.
And if Governor Brown does not dispatch the National Guard to Berkeley and Davis to protect the students that the Chancellors refuse to protect, then he must go. If President Obama does not send troops to Liberty park to protect OWS protestors, bringing tents and sleeping bags, and safe heaters and portable toilets, then he must go, too.

  1. It seems the Libertarians have to go to since they are absent !

they could have came in and provide the groundwork for protecting the OWS'ers and students thereby passing the credit to Republicans by extending on Justice Scalia's "liberty" decisions as seen in his seat.

    however they did not

    they sided with big money

and big money ain't got no soul

according to neil peart of Rush,

  2. How about a UN investigation of police brutality in the US?

  3. I think it's way, way too early to think about sending in troops to protect the protesters. The Occupy movement has already shown that it can do a good job in standing up to police forces, outmaneuvering them and even making them back down. Let Occupy prove it can win its own battles, rather than needing armies sent in to protect them. And once they appear as a politically protected movement, they will lose credibility.

  4. Besides if you want to stick it to the University of California, here's a fun fact, UC has been managing Los Alamos since the Manhattan Project.

Complain to the Dept of Energy about its contractor's use of Blackwater-like tactics against college students and faculty members. Ha ha, I look forward to seeing the Board of Regents rebrand themselves as the University of Xe.

  5. We can stop this madness now, or when they come knocking at YOUR front door to take you away. The pepper spray was meant for bears, as the containers are huge, rubber bullets from point blank range, flash bang fired into a group of people helping someone already injured, and clubs being used to beat protesters. Is this America or Amerika better known as "THE UNITED SOVIET STATES OF AMERIKA"?

  7. this is called "Working for the Clampdown" which we've discussed for 3 years on this here blog :

    the Clash

    (Strummer/Jones)

    1-2-3-4!
    Hey, hey!
    Ooh!
    the kingdom is ransacked
    the jewels all taken back
    and the chopper descends
    they're hidden in the back
    with a message on a half-baked tape
    with the spool going round
saying im back here in this place
    and i could cry
and there's smoke you could click on

What are we gonna do now?
Taking off his turban, they said, is this man a Jew?
    ’Cos working for the clampdown
They put up a poster saying we earn more than you!
When we're working for the clampdown
We will teach our twisted speech
    To the young believers
We will train our blue-eyed men
    To be young believers

The judge said five to ten but I say double that again
I'm not working for the clampdown
No man born with a living soul
Can be working for the clampdown
Kick over the wall 'cause government's to fall
    How can you refuse it?
Let fury have the hour, anger can be power
D'you know that you can use it?

The voices in your head are calling
Stop wasting your time, there's nothing coming
Only a fool would think someone could save you
The men at the factory are old and cunning
You don't owe nothing, so boy get runnin'
It's the best years of your life they want to steal

But, you grow up and you calm down and
    You're working for the clampdown
You start wearing the blue and brown and
    You're working for the clampdown
So you got someone to boss around
It makes you feel big now
    You drift until you brutalize
You made your first kill now

In these days of evil presidentes
    Working for the clampdown
But lately one or two has fully paid their due
    For working for the clampdown
    Ha! Gitalong! Gitalong!
    Working for the clampdown
    Ha! Gitalong! Gitalong!
    Working for the clampdown

Yeah I’m working hard in Harrisburg
    Working hard in Petersburg
    Working for the clampdown
    Working for the clampdown
    Ha! Gitalong! Gitalong
    Begging to be melted down
    Gitalong, gitalong
    Work
    Work
And I give away no secrets – ha!
    Work
    More work
    Work
    Work

    who's barmy now ?
