"You Can Crush the Flowers, But You Can’t Stop the Spring "

This is a good article from many angles. It is important as a clarification of the implicit and largely unstated but very specific demands of the Occupy - 99% movement.

It is also important as an economic statement. It is written by a woman that puts it in the metaphor of divorce. She sees civil society divorcing itself from the corrupt collusion of oligarchs, corporatism, crony capitalism, and captured government and, like a now single woman, striking out on its own to create the world in which it wishes to live, no longer dragged down by a partnership that was undermining her.

It's a bit long, and if you take nothing else away from this other than, "You Can Crush the Flowers, But You Can’t Stop the Spring," that is enough.

Again, I think it captures the spirit that both Ravi Batra and Strauss & Howe described in their work on the coming re-awakening and revolution.
