Winterspeak — The Myth of High Powered Money
Does the government fiscal deficit flow to savings or equity? Winterspeak says equity and denotes this as NFA (e).
There is already a spirited debate raging in the comments.
I like Winter's post. imo the less we use the word "money" the better... "money" is just one of those words that has become so meaningless and imprecise it's probably best to avoid using it entirely... his use of 'financial asset' to describe these govt accounting operations/transactions seems much more precise to me anyway, is more focused than the term "money".
