Tschäff Reisberg — Flying sucker class

Tschäff analyzes frontline employment in the airline industry. Readers will recognize that the syndrome that has developed here is hardly unique to the airlines and is found in the frontline of many large corporations. Those familiar with complaints of those who were living behind the Iron Curtain will recognize the similarity, too. Horrible trend to be developing.

  2. The outgrowth of policies designed to cutting incomes of the working class, stripping away rights, etc. Totally unsustainable domestically. The only way it can continue is by "exporting" these policies to countries where they don't exist already and that is happening as well.

It's no coincidence that corporate profits are at record levels.

  3. I updated it with a policy recommendation. The picture I painted was too bleak. MMT can make a difference.

  4. What I wonder about is if we need heavy union coverage in order to push pro-labor legislation, or if it can be done without being pushed by organized labor.

As of now I think we can do it without organized labor. Much of organized labor has historically opposed pro-labor legislation on the grounds that it decreases appeal of union membership and of course the profiteering opportunities running a pension or health insurance plan affords.

The Swissport workers at LHR were going out but called off at the last moment, not sure why yet though...think Swissport backed down.
