"The problem, as on almost all issues relating to government's role, is centered on whites, particularly those in the working class....Just 18 percent believe the law will leave their family better off, compared to 38 percent who believe they will be worse off as a result.
"....Gallup Polling in March 2010 found that while few whites expected to personally benefit from the law, a majority of them believed it would benefit low-income families and those without health insurance. That suggested they viewed health care reform primarily as a welfare program that would help the needy but not their own families."Read it at Mother Jones
The White Working Class Doesn't Believe That Obamacare Will Help Them
by Kevin Drum
Mark me as one that believes that the law will not only not help whites but it won't help blacks. It will only help the insurance companies that that wrote the bill. In my opinion Democrats had better hope that the bill is struck down or in a few years everyone who goes into a voting booth will vote against the party that made them buy insurance - and rightfully so. Sorry if I come across as a real progressive instead of a corporate hack. Obumer is a corporate stooge.
