Sarah Palin II?

OMG! Who would be worse as the president's backup, Bachmann or Ryan?

Both would be a disaster for the economy should Mitt win and not be able to complete his term. Plus, a VP is being set up for a later presidential run.

Bachmann does not deny she is being vetted

  1. This woman is beyond delusional. And btw, she "talks" a lot to God. It's gotten so bad, she is starting to get her "information" from chain emails.

Saw a video of her just tonight on Piers Morgan show. Talking about a 3.8% tax on home sales to fund Obamacare. That didn't sound right to me, so it took all of 30 seconds to debunk it. Apparently, this myth has been around for a while:

  2. Its a courtesy vetting. There's no way in hell she's going to be picked. Matt Taibbi, naturally, wrote the definitive profile of her ("Bachmann is a religious zealot whose brain is a raging electrical storm of divine visions and paranoid delusions...")

I still think Romney's going to pick Mike Huckabee. He's popular among social conservatives (Baptist minister), has the govt experience to be a plausible VP (former governor and presidential canddiate) and he's the most moderate candidate available in the sense that he comes across as a nice guy. For example, in 2008 he was the only politician, Republican or Democratic, who stuck up for Jeremiah Wright.

"And one other thing I think we’ve got to remember: As easy as it is for those of us who are white to look back and say, "That’s a terrible statement," I grew up in a very segregated South, and I think that you have to cut some slack. And I’m going to be probably the only conservative in America who’s going to say something like this, but I’m just telling you: We’ve got to cut some slack to people who grew up being called names, being told, "You have to sit in the balcony when you go to the movie. You have to go to the back door to go into the restaurant. And you can’t sit out there with everyone else. There’s a separate waiting room in the doctor’s office. Here’s where you sit on the bus." And you know what? Sometimes people do have a chip on their shoulder and resentment. And you have to just say, I probably would too. I probably would too. In fact, I may have had a more, more of a chip on my shoulder had it been me."

I remember watching that and thinking, damn, what a classy guy.

  3. I think that MH would be a good choice, too. I was impressed with his campaign, but I think he tarnished his image with centrists with his performance on Fox. But that's probably not going to hurt him if he adopts his former stance as a candidate.

  4. WTF? Cut him some slack? Jeremiah Wright is an anti-American raving lunatic. If you can't see that, I suppose you are one yourself.
