Marshal Auerback — How do we ‘pay’ for Hurricane Sandy?
I WOULD LIKE TO BRING TO ATTENTION WHAT KAY BAILEY HUTCHINSON IDIOT SAID BEFORE ABOUT THE BLACK FARMERS WHOSE FARMS WERE STOLEN FROM THEM AND GIVEN TO OTHERS.
SHE SAID "IT WILL ONLY ADD TO THE DEFICIT"
SO IT'S OK TO ADD ZERO'S TO THE ACCOUNTS OF THE CENTRAL BANKS, THE BANKERS, AND THE LAWYERS THAT MOOCH OFF THAT SUPPLY CHINA. OOPS I MEANT SUPPLY CHAIN.
BUT REPUBLICAN HISTORY HAS ALLOWED COMMUNIST CHINA TO COME IN OUR MARKETS AND EARN A 1 TRILLION DOLLAR "DEFICIT" - ALL THANKS TO REPUBLICANS ALL THE WAY BACK TO NIXON.
THAT'S HOW WE PAY FOR HURRICANE SANDY - WE TELL THE CHINESE TO START SPENDING THEIR US TREASURIES AND START BUYING USA PRODUCTS.
The way reality shows about surviving on deserted islands are so popular, it seems one could teach Auerback's point by asking how "Survivor" contestants build things without money.
It seems that driving that analogy into their minds over and over would have to produce an ah-ha moment eventually that labor and resources and ability to produce are the real constraints and money is of no issue.
I am going to plant this seed and see how it grows (I actually did this in a multi-player online RPG by asking "what if Rift (the game) runs out of money" and I was surprised at the somewhat MMT bent the conversation took - someone even sent me a private message acknowledging that I was trying to explain MMT to people playing the game.)
On a non-related message board I just posted the following message:
CBS SURVIVOR SHOW - COULD SOMEONE HELP EXPLAIN IT TO ME
I know it is a popular show but I never could understand it the few times I watched it. It seems the contestants are in deserted places and try to survive the best way they can. They make shelters, and other devices (infrastructure) to cope with some goal/task that they must accomplish.
Here is what I do not understand and I wonder if someone could help explain it to me. How do they build and do these things without money? At least from the few times I watched it, money does not seem to be part of the events but maybe it does play a part because I do not understand how they could do the things they are supposed to do without money being involved.

Anyone explain it?
