They're actually pretty good.
Given the sheer scale of our distributed organizational tasks today, I have to think it would do far more good than harm for today's students to see these before 5th grade.

I have trouble deciding if the DoD sucks more or less, on net, than it did in the 50s or its predecessors did. For whatever flexibility was shown back then vs now (and a willingness to actually fire generals) it's easy to present counterpoints, like the moronic doctrine of tank destroyers and the unworkable "Victory Plan" in WWII.
