Sebastian Anthony — Thorium nuclear reactor trial begins, could provide cleaner, safer, almost-waste-free energy
Thorium was tried in the 1960s and abandoned. There are fa more problems with thorium than this article suggests. However, perhaps Thor and Westinghouse have solutions for these problems. It reduces the proliferation risks but does not eliminate them. And there are also big waste issues.
Another nail in the coffin of the imaginary energy crisis.
