Chairman claims Nevada Libertarian Party ‘infested with idiots’ (via Raw Story )
The Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Nevada (LPN), Joseph P. Silvestri, recently announced that he “need[s] a break” from the “knuckleheads” who run the LPN. “I have little hope that we shall see any quality activists lead the LPN this…
The critical message, just in time for the next election,: TINA to DemoRepubs.
ReplyDeleteCompletely unexpected.
Once the 3rd parties are marginalized, the they have to convince everyone that since they can't drink water the real decision is Diet Pepsi and NOT the evil unhealthy Diet Coke.
Let the patriotism and superiority of party begin.
Mosler posted on the bipartisan efforts to dismantle the GSEs and turn them over to hedge funds and speculators. Hardly gets a peep in the media as it is not controversial from a Demo-Repub perspective.
ReplyDeleteSad state of affairs, the limited range of policy options available under the two party system of 'democracy'.
That there is a plurality of independents preferring "other" but there is no viable third party on the horizon is a cultural phenomenon that calls for explanation.
ReplyDeleteI would say that the likely reason has to do with funding in an environment where funding is the bottom line. Interestingly, the the third party that did pretty well recently was Perot's and Perot had the means to fund it and was willing to do so.
I'm trying to visualize a Libertarian party night.
ReplyDeleteEveryone equally spaced?
No one speaks unless spoken too?
Either bloodshed or complete silence ... and nothing in between allowed.
And, of course, everyone is an above-average exporter! :(
Sounds like an un-Rave?

"Everyone equally spaced?"
More like everyone euphoric and ready to PARTAAAY!
"No one speaks unless spoken too?"
Not really. It reminded me of standing in a crowded futures trading pit in a hectic market move.
"Either bloodshed or complete silence ... and nothing in between allowed."
On the contrary. Peaceful but quite loud
Not sure what you mean by above-average exporter?
"Sounds like an un-Rave?
As I recall it was a pretty boisterous young crowd.
Are you sure they were card-carrying Libertarians? :)
ReplyDeleteThere's no stds body regulating their membership anymore.
Even so-called Libertarians allowed too much unrestricted immigration (not to mention the output of their own sexual recombination), and ended up as above-avg exporters of oxymoronic ideologies.
In 50 years, expect all current Libertarians to be members of the Communist Party, and vice versa?
That would fit Dem/GOP history.
