Liberal bias in the media pales in comparison to what you’ll find in your standard-issue Bibles, according to Conservapedia.com, a kind of Wikipedia for the religious right. The King James Bible, not to mention more recent translations like the New International Version (NIV), are veritable primers of progressive agitprop, complains Andy Schlafly, the founder of Conservapedia.com. (His mother, Phyllis, is an activist best known for her opposition to feminism and the Equal Rights Amendment.)
But not to worry. Andy Schlafly’s group is on the case, and they have invited you to pitch in. Well, maybe not you, exactly, but the "best of the public,” whose assistance is solicited in proposing new wording for left-leaning Bible verses.AlterNet
Right-Wing Group Seeks Help Rewriting the Bible Because It's Not Conservative Enough
Richard Schiffman
That should take about two or three pages. What will they fill the rest of it with.
ReplyDeleteright, "blindly follow the dogmatic reasonings of church authority by your own freewill or you will go to hell to be tormented forever and while youre at it, torment homosexuals as much as possible...."
ReplyDeleteThis is the Krampus - the anti-Santa coming to life again.
ReplyDelete50% Goat & 50% Cheeseball
110% freedom poopers
I thought these buggers were for freedom and liberty and riding motorcycles without the man on your back.
However, that is their poster child ... freedom but
then they use the bible to control, back step, blame, gold-bug, deficit hawk, austerize ( ostracize & austerity ), judge by condemnation, bully pulpit ...
These are modern day Pharisees. They are manipulating the free world economy with their religious dogma.
They put targets on Gabriela Giffords and she gets shot.
Then Sarah Palin rushes to Vad Yashem to shake Nutty-yahoo's hand to cover up her anti-semitism with Zionist camouflage.
Maybe they can put a happy ending on the bible with the Krampus coming out and taking everyone down into the underworld who did not submit to their dogma.
This is mainly anti-Catholicism at best as well.
Very well ...

ReplyDeleteWe are not to rewrite the Bible but to let it and the Holy Spirit rewrite us.
ReplyDeleteDeuteronomy 4:2
You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Deuteronomy 12:32
“Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it."
And the last words in the Bible:
I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.
He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:18-20
And btw, I told ya so wrt to the Old Testament having a strong emphasis on social justice.
Here's just one example: Isaiah 58
There are way too few Lions ....
ReplyDeleteHey F,
ReplyDelete"He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming quickly.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus."
What do you think is taking Him so long???

How would you know how many times he/she already came? :)
ReplyDeletex times as he;

last time was as a drunk woman on a porch in Detroit?
Messenger: "Listen Universe, they just won't listen to me. You won't believe the guises I've trid" :(
Universe: 'KEEP TRYING.'
"Fine. THIS time I'm gonna come back as EVERYONE. Let's see 'em try to ignore THAT."
ps: I wouldn't put it past us. All it takes is self-assisted national suicide, taking our perceived enemies with us.
If we try an eye-for-an-eye a few more times, we'll all be successfully dead! Then we'll have to start all over, and come back as bacteria?
