American snowboarding gold medalist, Shaun White has pulled out of the slopestyle snowboard event in Sochi because the course was too dangerous. Other snowboarders called the course "intimidating" and like "jumping out of a building."
Check the Sochi course below. Look at the ridiculous height of the ramps.
Now check out a typical slopestyle course. This is one in Aspen, where a recent qualifying competition was held. It looks like baby stuff compared to the insane one in Sochi.
Needless to say, the event will be sick to watch. Can't wait!
