For other purposes, I have been trying to distill as clearly as possible the competing ways of talking about how much different people benefit from the government. For instance, if I am trying to figure out whether Bill Gates or a Walmart worker on SNAP and Medicaid benefits more from the government, how exactly would I go about doing that? Aficionados will identify this question as a rehashing of the Baseline Problem. I realize that of course, but my aim has been to group the various ways people talk about this into cogent categories.
