Michael Pettis — Syriza and the French indemnity of 1871-73
Economic history of modern Europe and how it relates to the EMU.
Very good article, worth reading. A good summary of the situation IMO.
How it all will evolve is impossible to know, but I can subscribe every point Pettis made about the wrong causal attributions and nationalism and faux 'morality' getting on the way and derailing a relatively positive outcome.
