WHY RUSSIA WON'T RETALIATE
As succinctly as possible:

The Sultan Erdogan racket would NEVER have dared to commit an ACT OF WAR against Russia if they did not have full support from His Masters' Voice. That includes a NATO pledge of military support should Moscow retaliate.
This is a trap. Russian intel eats these things for breakfast. 

Moscow WILL retaliate. But it will be further on down the road; carefully calculated, unexpected and swift. 

The Erdogan racket won't know what hit them. 

Vladimir Putin was a KGB officer, after all.  Erdogan needs to be watching his back personally.
