Dan Wright — Film Series "A Very Heavy Agenda" Sheds Light On Neoconservatives Old And New

Enter Robbie Martin’s film series A Very Heavy Agenda.
The three-part series begins in the weeks after the 9/11 terrorist attacks when neoconservative thought leaders opportunistically used the country’s anxiety about another attack to push their agenda.
A Very Heavy Agenda Part 1: “A Catalyzing Event,”details how Paul Wolfowitz, Bill Kristol, Robert Kagan and others shaped the policy response to the 9/11 attacks utilizing a playbook written at The Project For A New American Century (PNAC) well before the attacks .
Part 2: “How We Learned to Stop Worrying and Love The New Neocons,” picks up at the end of the Bush presidency, when the neoconservatives largely discredited by the Iraq War re-brand themselves and seek to resurrect past Reaganite glory by instigating conflict with Russia. PNAC is re-branded as The Foreign Policy Initiative (FPI), which pursues the same agenda with new lines of attack and operatives who make up for their lack of intellectual rigor with a savvier understanding of media manipulation.…
Part 3: “Maintaining the World Order,” is set to be released in February and will provide an in-depth look at the role of the Kagan family and other neoconservative actors, who are still influencing and implementing US foreign policy. What are the ultimate ends and motivations for their very heavy agenda?

  1. I get #1... hence their current support for Jeb to come in and defend W's legacy...

#2 I dont see... " the neoconservatives largely discredited by the Iraq War " the right does not generally look at Iraq as a discredit and this also goes for not just the neo-con wing... seems like they somehow got in there ($$$ to Dems) to continue #1, but got caught up in Democrat Soros stuff wrt eastern Europe and just had to try to do the job because they were there...

#3 "What are the ultimate ends and motivations for their very heavy agenda?" That 100% is to advocate for policy/candidates that will treat the nation of Israel as literally the 51st state... and its not just these Jews its YUGE numbers of heavy Israelite/OT oriented Evangelicals represented by Cruz...

The whole Ukraine thing doesnt fit... imo they got sucked into that by Democrat-Soros hippy dippy "open society" hijinks...

  2. Matt: "...the right does not generally look at Iraq as a discredit and this also goes for not just the neo-con wing..."

True, but they're not living on planet earth. Former high officials in the State Department and Pentagon have said Iraq is the worst foreign policy mistake possibly in American history. Vietnam is as nothing when compared to the foreign policy disaster that is Iraq. Obama's had a lot of clearing up to do. He's an awful President, but then they all are, but Dubya did leave him with the mother of all messes in Iraq.

As for unreality, Trump claims that he'll forcibly take half of Iraq's oil, not all, because he's "generous". What does the Right do? Many just stay silent while the Trumptards cheer on a literally impossible, stupid and dangerous policy! If he ever make is to the Oval Office, his first call may well have to be to the Prime Minister of Iraq, to explain that this was just campaign talk to the lobotomised freaks who cheer on this stupidity. Second call to the President of Mexico to explain about the lobotomised freaks. Third call... to explain about the lobotomised freaks... and so on...
