Economy Watch — Global Deflation Signals Persist, Signaling Economic Slowdown
More signs of a deflationary environment are appearing in Europe and Asia, leading many economists to give up on hopes of stronger growth in the near future.…
Ok this is non peak season out of China but even so talking to that trade lane manager this morning it's costing us $200 for a 40 foot container (2 TEU) X Shanghai into Northern Europe currently (as I said a few weeks ago last year's average was $1050) next increase is not expected until next month but won't make a lot of difference as the shipping lines are bringing more capacity online!
Accelerating at 3m/s^2 instead of 5 m/s^2 is a "slowdown"... even though you end up going faster... hmmmmmmm.....
