Trump takes the lead in this poll.
The 2016 USC Dornsife / LA Times Presidential Election Poll represents a pioneering approach to tracking changes in Americans' opinions throughout a campaign for the White House. Around 3000 respondents in our representative panel are asked questions on a regular basis on what they care about most in the election, and on their attitudes toward their preferred candidates. The "Daybreak poll" is updated just after midnight every day of the week.Understanding America Study
Why can zero-hedge report this but MSM can't? Taking a private jet 20 miles to a 100,000 plate fundraiser run by Rothschilds who are busy setting up tax havens in the country for foreigner cash. Money moving out of tax havens that the US forced to close. The same weekend when the Clinton foundation announced "if she wins" they will stop accepting that foreign cash. And this is OUR candidate. The LEFT candidate. OKAY RIGHT THEN. W-h-a-t-e-v-e-r the two party government says gets reported, as-is.
ReplyDeleteI don't really understand why this is acceptable and not surprising or at least disheartening to others who support the left. What passes as left is being angry at the 1% in abstract, but not actually caring in practice, and not actually having a better vision. This weekend is the actual corruption that Bernie railed against. It is why we have bad policy.
And to make matters even worse, while Clinton is swanning off with Billionaire Democratic party members, Scott Adams pointed out on twitter that the Trump campaign has a plan they are floating to document the undocumented.
Unbelievable. Once again, The Right is more left than The Left.
Clinton is weak and damaged candidate, and I expect Trump and his surrogates to savage her. The real campaign is just beginning.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of who wins, politics is in a state of transition because this is a "Polyani moment" of historical transformation. Trump at least senses that while HRC is looking backwards and as result looking backward to many voters looking for the hope and change that Obama promised but didn't deliver.
Wikileaks has a poll of some 200k respondents and Trump is up 42-21 over Clinton.
ReplyDeleteThe Democrats could be as surprised at the outcome as Mitt Romney was in 2012. They are looking overconfident.
ReplyDeleteJust when you think it can't get any worse... Marshall Auerback posted on twitter, our Bus service is being privatized to none other than Uber and Lyft.

Why can the government agency that receives federal funds contract with Uber who abuses 1099 workers without fair labor rules. They have no minimum wage. They make sub-prime loans to those workers as well. What happened to prevailing wages? There isn't supposed to be an 'out' even company owners are supposed to prove that they pay themselves prevailing wages when providing labor to government.
I've been wondering if the polls have been fixed.

ReplyDeleteOffering Mexican and central american immigrants documentation by self deporting, and then applying for citizenship is brilliant. It should be warmly received, even if the application fees are used to build Trumps wall to make it harder for people in the future who don't want to apply for visas to immigrate. He has to solve the primary problem in the immigration system, which is low numbers of visas so backlogs are longer than human lifespans.
ReplyDeleteClinton supports the status quo, government benefits and school for undocumented but no citizenship, no papers, no drivers licenses and no employment and constant fear of deportation and employer raids. Good for politician$, bad for humans, bad for employees, bad for labor rights, bad for human rights.
Media whores all:
ReplyDeletehttp://nypost.com/2016/08/21/american-journalism-is-collapsing-before-our-eyes/
My perverse reason for wanting Trump to win is the media. The damage it will do to them--which most journalists dont't care about editorially. Which I believe this is a significant enough reason to vote for him. That and the fact that people who have known Trump for over a quarter of a century in Manhattan, Republican and Democratic, know that and have stated that he does not have a racist/prejudiced bone in his body, have never once heard him utter a racial slur, and that in fact the guy has been a fucking Democrat with an independent streak.
ReplyDeleteWhat this really affects is media access. Oh, sure, there will be White House reporters and the Corps. But they ain't going to get invited to WH state dinners and important affairs as guests and honored gumshoes. Ivanka will make sure of that. As a matter of course for the first two years, should Trump win, it will be the right-wingy journos who get lionized. Just to teach them.
The greats of the CBS newsroom--the #1 newsroom William Paley proudly protected like a Fabergé egg and said fuckyou to anyone who questioned the newsroom's negative earnings--would be ashamed of the current crop of pro journos. They're supposed to be the Fourth Estate. (For foreigners, the Executive is the First Estate. the Legislative is the Second Estate. The Judicial, Supreme Court, is called the Third Estate.) The Fourth Estate is supposed to represent the interests of the people, take up their POV and plights. These assholes today gave that up; and that includes everyone on ABCCBSFOXNBCMSNBC. Their monthly nut is too high, and they love the summer months at the Hamptons that their overwrought salaries can buy. They're rock stars, not honey badgers.
If Trump wins, it means the majority of the public doesn't trust them and doesn't give a shit what they say. Who needs them. They'll be getting the same lesson that Congress is going to get for its failure to enact fiscal policy for three decades by leaving the economy to the Federal Reserve's monetary policy and dining out on what the lobbyists and donors want. They'll be out of a job, without significant change and soul-searching.
I didn't see Malmo's Ghost post before writing mine. I agree.

ReplyDeleteIt's interesting, isn't it, Malmo? I don't remember an election in my life time where people in the media were this angry at one candidate. The Dems are pretty intolerant of other political views and criticism of their policy this cycle. Odd because they like to dish it out, but can't take it.
ReplyDeleteI've heard that Reagan was pretty divisive but I was too young to remember that. Everyone left and right had a good laugh at Bush sometimes with his stumbling words, Media disliked Bush but not like this virulent, open hatred Dems have toward Trump.
One of the common uniting factors among Trump supporters is distain for corporate media, which they hold was instrumental in politicians of both parties leading the people on — putting the people on really aka lying — while implementing the agenda of the power elites. They are tired of being promised to and screwed over.
ReplyDeleteThe Canadian equivalent of 60 Minutes is called The Fifth Estate.
ReplyDeleteHe's alpha male Ryan... MSM is all gay and female betas.....
ReplyDeleteThose who know me know I'm a liberal through and through. I simply don't like the Establishment, and believe whole heatedly that Trump is a foil to it's ascendance. He isn't perfect but he gets under Establishment skin (and Jonah Gold berg hates him so he can't be all bad), so I'll take my chances with him, and sleep like a baby if he comes out on top.
ReplyDelete@Ryan
ReplyDeleteI've heard that Reagan was pretty divisive but I was too young to remember that.
Well, I'm old enough to remember, even though I was in school at the time. The derision flung at Reagan was worse than what Trump is going through.
Read the end of this page about how Reagan overcame it, but watch at a minimum the first video: http://cinemarasik.com/2016/06/trump-vs-hillary-two-surprising-views-is-trump-getting-romnified/
Have you seen how media does attack Corbyn in UK? If you think Trump has it bad...
ReplyDeleteCorporate media is a dinosaur which is rabidly ravaging everything while becoming extinct, young people doesn't follow or care about corporate media (unfortunately they can be manipulated by Facebook and Google though, which both are supporters of typical Democratic establishment, but at least is not as upfront). They are just little scared people who doesn't want anything to change. The epitome of corporate mediocrity.
Unfortunately, Ignacio, young people are not being schooled to think. They are being schooled to believe. Facebook and Google aid and abet that.
