VV2 — Concrete is Main US Weapon of Modern Wars – Report
According to a researcher of the US Military Academy, the most effective weapon on the modern battlefield is concrete barriers.
Its force protection Tom... btw force protection is the first thing to go when the 'leaders' think they are "out of money!"...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Force_protection
Nothing new goes back to when the Iranians bombed the Beirut Marine barracks (which btw we never "got even" about...):
"The concept of Force Protection was initially created after the Beirut barrack bombings in Lebanon in 1983. With its Cold War focus towards potential adversaries employing large conventional military forces at the time (e.g., the Soviet Union, etc.), the U.S. Military had become complacent and predictable with regard to asymmetric attacks by state and non-state actors employing terrorist and guerilla methodologies."
Tom, Mattis (Marine, also probably old enough to remember Beirut...) is very anti-Iran:
"Mattis was reportedly forced to retire five months early as commander of U.S. Central Command in 2013 by the Obama administration for being too hawkish on Iran."
Trump, Flynn and Mattis are all anti-Iran. So are the three top contenders for Sec of State — Romney, Bolton and Giuliani. Confrontation with Iran looks to be on the table.
Trump may have toned down the anti-Russian talk but he sounds more hawkish than Clinton in other ways. We're not out of the woods with Trump. Don't start beating the swords into plough shares just yet.
Its not a weapon...
ReplyDeleteWhen everything is "weaponized," including "truth," it's a "weapon."
