The Saker — The anti-Flynn ‘deep state’ coup – spelling it out in the clearest way possible

THIS IS NOT ABOUT FLYNN. Let me repeat that once more. THIS IS NOT ABOUT FLYNN!!! Please don’t come and tell me that Flynn was wrong on Iran, on Islam or on China. I agree. But,==>>THIS IS NOT ABOUT FLYNN!!!<<=THIS IS ABOUT POWER.
As in, who is boss? Who is number one? Who is the alpha dog? The President or the ‘deep state’? That is what this is all about – showing everybody who is in charge....

As I said, it’s over. Not because of Flynn’s views on Iran or Islam. But because Trump has caved in, he has been broken and now all that’s left is a painful 4 year long agony. That’s assuming that the Neocons don’t impeach him just to bask in their arrogance and sense of supremacy.…
It took the Neocons and the US deep state less than a month to overturn the results of the Presidential election.
"Nice revolution you have there. Be a shame if anything happened to it."

  1. People on one of the RT articles are pretty pissed and see Trump for who he really is now. Took them long enough. This is Trump University bait and switch type of nonsense all over again, but this time on a presidential level. He sells frustrated people, especially in the working class, a bunch of rhetoric which aligns with how they're feeling at the time (wanting normalized relations with Russia, locking up Hillary, etc), positions himself as the "anti-establishment" candidate and then later backpedals on a bunch of stuff and tries to take credit and make himself look smarter than he actually is. Wash, rinse and repeat and he'll be laughing all the way to the bank too. They shoulda just given us Hillary or Pence from the start. At least you know they weren't gonna sell you false promises as much. You know what you're gonna get for real with both of them. For the former, status quo BS and the other, Dubya-style politics.

If this keeps up, he will nearly destroy all his political capital. He won't even make it to 4 years honestly IMO or if he does, he'll barely muster support at all. People are waking up and smelling the coffee and I foresee even more of this to come.

  2. @Penguin pop I agree. Bait and switch. Trump has never in his whole life fought for anything or anyone other than himself. What would make anyone think he would be an advocate for the little guy, or that he would care about world peace?

  3. First he writes an article describing Flynn as the cornerstone of everything Trump and his team want to do, and now it's not about Flynn.

No one is irreplaceable. Not Flynn and certainly not Trump. I get that it hurts when you pin your hopes on someone or on a movement and then those hopes are dashed.

It was and is about power. Whining about symbols, cornerstones, dominos, and what not changes nothing. Those of us who are skeptical that change can come from the top could have predicted this outcome from the beginning. Those who are skeptical of Trump's character could have predicted that he might cave in to pressure. But making predictions accomplishes little, other than to say we told you so.

Let us wait and see. Let the American people learn from these events.

As for the aspirations of the pro-Russian crowd, just deal with it. America does not have its equivalent to Putin, nor does it share the historical lessons experienced by Russians.

That's a good point and one I have made myself. We all, inside and outside the US, will have to touch rock bottom. It's gonna be difficult and painful, it'll take time, it'll be degrading; but we'll learn.

Let's just hope we learn quickly to avert the shit tsunami that seems to be coming in our direction. As things are, we might be running out of time.
