Win/Win

Trump will probably like this deal from Japan.  Now Mexico should just take a lesson from Japan, if they know how to deal.

Noting really new to post. What I have seen today is either hypothetical or highly politicized, and it doesn't seem worth posting here for discussion.

The attempted soft coup is taking on a harder edge, and the divisiveness in the US increasing. The aim of some in high places seems to be destabilization, in other words, the same m. o. that the US has used in the run up to color revolutions and other forms of regime change, and the mainstream media is cooperating.

But government is still functioning and carrying out Trump's agenda, now chiefly confirming his appointment.

Trump chose to adopt a face pace and act crazy as a strategy, and he is sticking to it as president. The pace alone is freaking a lot of people out. In addition, no one knows what he is going to do next.

This is only going to be possible to assess in hindsight.

Meh. Another attack on Trump from the center left.

Adds little to nothing to what is already known and leaves out a lot, too.

    Then ends with "fascism."

  5. Not really George has been writing about this for decades and covers many points other journalists never write about. Investigative journalism at its best.

Here is his earlier work a fantastic book called Captive state.

    http://www.monbiot.com/books/captive-state/

Where he spends the whole time attacking the Labour Party.

Be careful, you guys are starting to see atttacks on Trump everywhere you look.

  6. I was not referring to remarks about the UK, but the US. That is already old news here.

The US has been a captive of the elite for most of its history. It was set up that way.

First chief justice of SCOTUS John Jay summed it up as those that own the country should govern it.

US history is one of competition among factions of the ruling elite for power.

  7. Tom Hickey carries his knowledge and life experience in this blog like an Arizona ranger with a big iron on his hip :)

    "Big Iron"

To the town of Agua Fria rode a stranger one fine day
Hardly spoke to folks around him didn't have too much to say
No one dared to ask his business no one dared to make a slip
For the stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip
    Big iron on his hip...
