Freedom Caucus now in contrition on the Tax Cuts
Giving "the deficit!' some "freedom!" to expand (to them). Bullish.
Hey Matt, if you are on gab, will you invite me? I signed up but they just say I'm on the waiting list. I don't know why they aren't freely signing up people yet.
Fiscal hawks when out of power, deficit owls when they get into power. Sounds like what happened under Bush and Reagan too. It's a political tactic to hit Democrats with endlessly, and then when it comes to military, tax cuts and defense, they go wild. Typical.
My congressman, Ted Poe, just quit the freedom caucus. I have no idea what the freedom caucus is but the headline just went by on my news feed.
ReplyDeleteTed Poe is my congressman. Small world.

ReplyDeletelol don't know what that is I'll look into it..
ReplyDeleteDeficit for social services BAD. Deficit for tax cuts GOOD.
ReplyDeleteThey're the freedom (from government) caucus.
ReplyDeleteDo you know Judge Poe?
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it sound ironic, people in government wanting to be free from government?
ReplyDeleteSounds like the American right.
ReplyDeleteNo surprise given that deficits financed by positive yielding sovereign debt are welfare proportional to account balance, i.e. welfare for the rich.
ReplyDeleteSo win-win: Lower taxes on the rich and more risk-free returns for the rich.

ReplyDeleteI don't know Ted Poe, but I suffered thru his "Welcome to jury duty" video a time or two back when he was still Judge Ted Poe.
