An economics, investment, trading and policy blog with a focus on Modern Monetary Theory (MMT). We seek the truth, avoid the mainstream and are virulently anti-neoliberalism.
MNE is a great compiler, a place to find links to other good blog posts. The comments often devolve into weirdness (children being children), but almost always include different perspectives you might not find anywhere else.
Yeah I love this blog. I can interact with people from all sorts of backgrounds on here. I can read Bob and Magpie's Marxist perspectives or get a more conservative opinion from Matt Franko and some more politically incorrect commentary from reading Ralph Musgrave, and then Tom Hickey's commentary is always unique in pointing out how so many of the current ideologies and paradigms in use today are flawed. I get ideas I've had previously challenged and grow. The big thing that we all have in common is an understanding that the debt and deficit morons are spreading bullshit, and we all have interesting ways of talking about the implications of what can and cannot be done with MMT.
No surprise about MNE not being included. Less then half the posts.are.about economics w the rest a combination of one sided anti American hysteria wrt foreign policy. Not much analysis is offered so really MNE has become just another news.aggregator.
It'd be dishonest to not ackonwledge my own failings in this Matter. Even though I am able to post articles I rarely.do.so I'm just as guilty of.not.contributing to.the intellectual development of.the community. After.all.its.much easier.to make.snide critical comments then to do.the hard work.of.honest and.comprehensive analysis so I'm just as guilty as everyone else.on that front

ReplyDeleteMight be better off not to be seen on this list....
