  1. What if Truckers Unite and bring these Titans to their knees?

  2. Automated trucks adoption happens anyway in two or three years max.
It will be a cascade where everyone has to switch all at once to remain competitive.

24hr availability of the vehicle and no labor costs and fewer accidents, fewer tickets.

    No brainer.

  4. I haven't had the term to follow it. We need someone in Brazil to report from the scene.

  6. RYAN,

NOPE. That’s not going to happen. Maybe 10 years, once they got the sensors’ problems solved, and the topography of the land traveled hardwired in to the trucks’ systems.

Enormous safety risk with wheels that can come off, and runaway trucks on hills. Ever driven through the Rockies? There is no way a trucking company can take that chance, and there is no way Walmart can either.

They can manage street traffic, but not freeways or two-lane roads at high speed.

Walmart moves small cities worth of product. Their hub warehouses across the country out in the middle of the boonies are hundreds of thousands of square feet.

  7. Amazon will just vertically integrate - and then start selling spare truck capacity to everybody else.

That's what they did with computer servers.
