Brian Terrell — Two Interrogations, Gina Haspel and Adolf Eichmann
Read the comments in Publius Tacitus' piece - Gina Haspel Will Cruise to Confirmation and you will not come away with a good opinion of either PT or PL - I am really sorry to say that, despite neither of them being "borgs".

ReplyDeleteYes, I was surprised to see this at the time. Reveals something of the mentality.
ReplyDeletePL also said elsewhere that if Trump gave pushed the button, everyone would follow the order, no matter what.

“’Just taking orders’ absolves one of atrocities committed.” ~ Noah Wray
ReplyDeleteOnly if you on the side that wins a war.
However if you are on the side that loses a war, then “just taking orders” is no defense.
In any war, the winners call themselves saints, no matter how many atrocities they committed.
They call the losers demons, no matter benevolent and humanitarian the losers were.
We all know this, but we pretend that we don’t know it.
In the words of General Curtis LeMay, “If I had lost the war, I would have been tried as a war criminal.”
