America and the World, 2017-2018 | Victor Davis Hanson

Probably an accurate view of how the current US ruling class views the recent past and present global situation... from the libertarian Hanson...

  1. He says how some people have come up to him and said how would be like if because of globalizing someone in Korea took his job as they could do it for half the price. Hanson said it hasn't happened yet, and anyway, it is their fault if someone undercuts them because they didn't move fast enough, they took math instead.

So studying math makes you a loser.

  2. Hanson says that the gulf states, like Saudi Arabia, are probably never going to be democratic (And I doubt if the US would allow it as democratic countries want to control their own oil) but they are preferable to Iran Shia messianic expansionary Islam, he adds.

Iran hasn't started a war in 400 years, while Saudi Arabia funds Jihadist Islam and exports it all over the world. Hanson is nuts, he doesn't know what he is talking about. What a mass of contradictions this lecture is?

  3. “considered a war mongering crackpot.”

He doesn’t seem biased anti war like you guys... doesn’t make him pro war...

Also bob I thought libertarians were just not for initiating violence? I’m confused what if someone else initiates it?

  4. “”What a mass of contradictions this lecture is?”

There are no contradictions here.... he is perhaps contradicting the people you listen to... this is not his own internal contradictions...

Like it or not I think he explains/illustrates current US political development pretty well here... get over it....

Ie Not technically qualified.... he probably thinks he is ....

So Kaivey ... are you saying that you think nobody thinks we’re “out of money!” ?

  13. The claim that Iran is this dangerous nuke-building terrorist factory is complete Neocon bullsh**. Gareth Porter explains to the libertarian Scott Horton that Iran shut down their nuclear weapons program long ago. He wrote THE BOOK, "Manufactured Crisis". Later interviews discuss how Iran abided by the nuclear weapons agreement. Reimposing sanctions now is based on lies and is a vicious act of war against the Iranian people, all because Israel and Saudi Arabia want it. Just cuz they say so. Hanson is nothing but their yapping little dog.

  14. “You guys are biased anti-war!”

If stupidity was a crime, Franko would be serving multiple life sentences.

  15. Really. Why would anyone be biased against war? Makes no sense at all.

    https://tinyurl.com/y7cvxlwk

However, I freely admit my bias.

  16. To me being anti war is not a bias, it's just simply a good idea!

  17. You guys bias prevents you from objectively analyzing policy as the warfare issue has large influence...

So everything then becomes a conspiracy theory with you guys...

  18. Mattie ... Frankie ...

    Japan! Japan! Japan!

Don't pay those people any attention ... You know, it's an Art degrees thing ... They're jealous of your Creation Science PhD ...

It's Jesus101. Show them your superior STEM education in accounting. Explain to them that the letter "E" is nowhere to be found in the whole OT. Or that the digit "1" does not appear once in the whole NY/LA combined White Pages ...

  19. Everyone thinks we are out of money. I watch really good economists on YouTube doing so well until they start worrying about the national debt. It's sad.

  20. “Everyone thinks we are out of money.”

Yup.... It’s probably the demonstration of the largest cognitive failure (objectification/lack of abstraction) in human history ..

actually to the level of causing wars which all you biased anti-war weak guys get your panties all in a twist over...

And btw another thing... if you look at it, not even the cognitive “scientists” understand it...

If you went up to any cognitive “scientist” and asked them if we are “out of money!”? all of them would say “yes!”...

    Scary!!!!

  21. Put down the Fosters mate!

Never! That's so OT... Mattie... I'm all NT... From the gospel of Mattheopoulos Frankatsounis: Thou shalt not stop drinking beer (666:666).

But I'm serious. I want a recommendation letter for Trump University. I want to do a PhD in Creation Science/accounting there, just like you.
