    OFF TOPIC

The current U.S. Congress (the 115th) ends tomorrow (13 Dec 2018). Unless the calendar is changed, Congress will not be back in session until noon on 3 Jan 2019. This will be a New Congress, the 116th Congress.

The Israel lobby and its Congressional toadies want to outlaw the Boycotts, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against the Israeli parasite. Put another way, the Israel lobby wants to outlaw any support for Palestinian rights.

On 23 March 2017 Rep. Ben Cardin introduced the Israel Anti-Boycott Act (S. 720) in the U.S. Senate, while Rep. Roskam [R-IL] introduced the same bill in the House. Written by AIPAC, the bill will imprison Americans for up to 20 years, and fine them up to $1 million for advocating or participating in BDS against Israel.

So, if Israel wants to buy your product, and you decline to sell for whatever reason, you will be guilty of a federal crime.

The bill is a direct violation of Article 1 in the U.S. Constitution.(“Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press...”) However the U.S. government has rarely honored the Constitution, if ever.

A revised version of the anti-BDS bill dropped the prison charge, kept the $1 million fine for advocating BDS against Israel, or against ”any country that is friendly to the United States.”

    THE POINT…

The Israel lobby has only today and tomorrow to ram this bill through Congress so that Trump can quickly sign it. If the lobby fails, the lobby will have to re-introduce it all over again after 3 Jan 2019.

Given the results of the 6 Nov 2018 Congressional elections, the Israel lobby calculates that it could not get its bill passed in the next Congress. It’s now or never.

Therefore Sen. Ben Cardin (Jewish) has quietly snuck the Israel lobby’s bill into a last-minute must-pass omnibus federal spending bill that will be voted on today or tomorrow. If you don’t like the Israel lobby’s attack, then you must vote against the entire budget.

Politicians who like the omnibus budget with its spending priorities want to see the spending bill enacted, even if it includes the Israeli attack.

    SEPARATE BUT RELATED

As you know, Temple University professor Marc Lamont Hill was fired as a CNN political contributor for a speech he gave at the U.N. calling for equal rights for Palestinians in Palestine. Critics charged that the speech called for the “destruction of Israel,” though it did not.

Professor Hill has tenure at Temple University. Tenure is supposed to protect the free speech of professors. However the Israel lobby is demanding that Hill be fired from the university, since support for Palestinian rights is “hate speech.”

    THE POINT . . .

This is not only about the Israel lobby and Jewish supremacism. Across the USA, universities are firing tenured professors for “hate speech” (which can mean anything) so that universities can replace tenured professors with the associate professors who are paid so little that, in order to survive, they must donate plasma and apply for food stamps.

  2. UPDATE

Congress and Trump have agreed to keep the current Congress going until 21 Dec 2018.

That’s the new deadline for the Israel lobby to get its anti-BDS bill passed.

Congress already has approved five bills that create money out of thin air for the Pentagon, weapons makers, energy and water, labor, health and human services, the legislative branch and veterans affairs. Trump has already signed those into law.

But seven other spending bills are still awaiting congressional action. The bills that need approval would fund the departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Justice, Homeland Security, Interior, State, Transportation and Housing and Urban Development, as well as several smaller agencies.

Trump says he will not sign these bills unless they include money for extending the US-Mexico border wall. Therefore the Israel lobby is ordering its puppet politicians to give Trump at least a little money. Otherwise the anti-BDS bill could be sunk.

    OFF TOPIC

In order to crush the yellow vest protesters once and for all, the French government is now claiming that today a lone gunman killed at least three people and wounded a dozen more at the famed Christmas market in Strasbourg.

Naturally the “lone gunman” escaped. Despite ubiquitous cameras and helicopters, plus tracing devices in phones and vehicles, the “lone gunman” remains at large. Despite tight security measures introduced by the French security forces across public holiday venues in France, the “lone gunman” miraculously got away.

If the crime actually happened, then the police will grab some patsy and charge him, without letting him speak to the media or to anyone outside the police.

The government will then keep France under a permanent state of emergency. Anyone wearing a yellow vest will be summarily arrested, even if he is sitting quietly on a bench. Strasbourg has already banned public assemblies of any kind.

    From RT:

“The gunman who shot multiple victims in Strasbourg had previously been convicted and was known to French intelligence as a possible ‘security risk,’ yet managed to slip through the cracks despite tightened security across France.”

    How convenient.

  4. I used to think there was some good in the World, but now I know it's just about money. Israel has loads of money. Trump says the World is a very, very viscous place. He was admitting that everyone plays dirty. Most ordinary people do not have such hatred and so can't comprehend the evil that is in change. If only they could, when they might be able to stop it.

I know I come across as naive, but when I was young I loved Star Trek, the series with William Shatner, and I really thought that man was progressing to an enlightened future, but now look at it, WW3 on the hrizon?

Our fantastic science, our beautiful art, the sheer brilliance of the maths we do, our incredible architecture, our beautiful planet, the most beautiful one in the Solar System with its swirling white clouds and blue seas, our innocent children with their whole lives ahead of them, their love for life, and their love for future romance, means nothing to the inhuman psychopaths in charge. Perhaps they do worship the Devil?

  5. With a 'democracy ' the rich and oligarchs rule. It is not a democracy. The U.S. likes democracies because it means they ban control those counties. It likes capitalism because its wealthy can get to buy up and own everything. The World's wealth runs through Wall Street and the City of London.

    Frank Li -

"More pointedly, Chinese leaders do not believe in democracy, and firmly believe their system is the best for China. So, three cautious notes for America:

China will never be like America!
China will never fully open itself (e.g. the financial services) to America, like many other third-world countries have done, thus avoiding being forever screwed by America.
China supports "free" trade (i.e. trade without coercion), not "free trade" per se! For example, China does require "technology transfer" in many commercial agreements. It's just smart business! "

  6. “I know I come across as naive, but when I was young I loved Star Trek, the series with William Shatner, and I really thought that man was progressing to an enlightened future, but now look at it, WW3 on the horizon?”

Naïve? No. Star Trek depicted a future that was not perfect, but was better than today in many ways. The vision of a better future is the essence of Star Trek’s appeal.

This is important, because we cannot escape hell if we don’t first imagine that escape is possible.

“Beauty means nothing to the inhuman psychopaths in charge. Perhaps they do worship the Devil?”

In fact they do. To worship the devil is to worship having power over others. By contrast, to worship God is to love someone so much that you would happily die for them. Devil worship is separateness. God worship is unity. Devil worship makes you an insatiable black hole. God worship makes you a quasar. To worship the devil is to be consumed with fear, hate, and greed. In this condition, we may hold high office, and people may grovel before us, but we are deformed little worms.
