Nassim Taleb gets the smackdown.
Those Imbecilic Keynesianisticists are loose – lock up your … whatever!
Bill Mitchell | Professor in Economics and Director of the Centre of Full Employment and Equity (CofFEE), at University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia
Good post.
ReplyDeleteI guess we should feel encouraged.
What’s the old saying?
First they ignore you.
Then they attack you and ridicule you. (The stage where we are now.)
Then they start to agree with you.
Finally they say, “I was with you all along.”
I like how Bill Mitchell takes apart Nassim Nicholas Taleb's errors, showing that if investors had followed Taleb’s idiotic advice, they all would have lost money.
For what it is worth, I think of Nassim Nicholas Taleb as a kind of a ruder, louder version of Egmont K-H. Probably harmless. Still, I wouldn't turn my back on him. You know, just to be on the safe side.
ReplyDeleteOther than that you have to give him this: he's good at self-promotion.
