Identity Politics has taken over British universities and has started to become authoritarian, say the panel here. They think it will backfire as the right is already successfully mobilising against it.

To save the rights of minorities, the panel says the left must fight against it. They say how the 'Identitarians' have sabotaged the left.

The right describe the Identitarians as cultural Marxists, but they not Marxists, the panel says - Marxism is about class politics and economics.

The panel say the left can win against the Identitarians here in the UK, but in US they are less hopeful as the left is weaker.


Helen Pluckrose and Peter Boghossian have taken up positions at the front lines of the culture war. To highlight what they saw as ideological capture of the universities, they submitted hoax papers to high profile journals in the social sciences - what they called the 'grievance studies' hoax. Seven were published, including one on 'Rape Culture' in dog parks, and one with extracts from Hitler's Mein Kampf.
