Julia Naftulin - A Harvard geneticist is creating a dating app that matches users based on DNA, and people are worried it's eugenics
The world is getting more complicated. It sounds like a good idea, but some people mignt have trouble finding a partner if it gets out they have some dodgy genes.
Your genetic code will remain confidential, and the app will only warn you of a bad match.
"About 5 percent of children are born with a severe genetic disease, and so that means you're compatible with about 95 percent of people," Church said on "60 Minutes." "We're just adding this [tool] to all the other dating criteria."
