Varieties of neoliberalism — Diane Coyle

I’ve polished off Angus Burgin’s The Great Persuasion, recommended to me by a colleague after Daniel Stedman-Jones’s Masters of the Universecropped up in conversation. I read the latter when it came out in 2012. It made a strong impression on me with its account of the way the creation of the climate of ideas conducive to Thatcherism and Reaganism came about as a conscious long-term project on the part of a number of free market think tanks on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as some leading economists....

  1. Always lying, always cowardly. Never a mention that Hayek won the Nobel Prize for demonstrating that it is the Keynesianism and fiat funny money creation that is the cause of the business cycle and transfer of wealth from average people to the elite.

There is a great divide between Keynesian Friedman and Austrian Hayek.

It's just like not being able to mention that Obama installed Nazis in Ukraine in 2014, Soleimani defeated ISIS and the USA installed the Shah in 1953. Be proud of yourselves for understanding the importance of a permanent false narrative.

  2. “Hayek won the Nobel Prize“

LoL! He won a FAKE Nobel prize which is handed out by the neoliberal Swedish Riksbank.

  3. S400: Insinuating that they have a pro-Austrian bias or something is ludicrous. They were so ashamed of Hayek that they felt compelled to also award the prize to social democrat Gunnar Myrdal that same year.

Further, whatever the nature of the prize, that's no excuse for your total unfamiliarity with Hayek's work and analysis since he's forever being falsely blamed for "neoliberalism" which is fundamentally Keynesian and based upon emissions of fiat funny money. I guess being a know-nothing anti-intellectual like yourself means never having to say you're sorry.
