  1. what is an unhappy coincidence is that every time these people employ their figurative language like this analogy here it never has any information effect...

Analogies as a Part of Language
Making comparisons between two different things requires a flexible use of language. Though on the surface a metaphor or complex analogy may not make much sense, digging a little deeper to understand the relationships between the things being compared will usually clear things up. Some analogies are steeped in the culture of a particular place or time, and this adds a layer of interest and a challenge, especially when you're learning a new language."

Without an understanding of the complex relationships between the things being compared the employment of the analogy is useless and will have no edifying effect on target...

Simple Art Degree techniques like employing analogy in Language Art do not work....

  2. Every time a politician asks "How will you pay for that?", people die. For some reason, politicians never understood that analogy. So a better one had to be built.

Every time a politician asks "How will you pay for that?", that politician's head is chopped off. Didn't take them long to grasp that one.

  3. My bad.
When I wrote "Didn't take them long to grasp that one.", I meant: edifying.

  4. So I'm guessing this guy is trying to explain MMT to Texans?

"Put on your thinking cap" has a fashionably different meaning for those folks...

  5. Well this method of creating analogy in Language Art has been tried for over 10 years by these people that I have been observing it and to no effect...

Everybody still thinks "we're out of money!" and asks "how are we going to pay for that?" ALL THE TIME...

Including the people that really matter which is our top people...

Time to make an adjustment you cant just keep doing the same thing expecting a different result... and that would not be just creating a different analogy...

  6. And how’s your method of explaining the realities of economics going Matt? You’ve had quite a few years to prove its excellence.
