The virus may be airborne in aerosol droplets for at least for an hour or so. I've read elsewhere that scientists are not certain about this yet.

And for something seriously upmarket, how about this full face mask, with a battery powered air pump which will protect your eyes as well as nose and mouth: you’d have to rig up your own filter (which could be strapped to your chest, for example). Think of the hours of fun doing that, never mind stopping viruses.
