DeleteWhen conversion is by the sword (convert or die), what kind of people does that select for? Not the best, eh?

ReplyDeleteThe new blogger sucks on the computer too. Really junk. I went back to the old version, which is still available.
Thanks, Tom. I did go back to the legacy version too, but suddenly the new version came up again and I decided to tweet it. It's murder on a phone.
DeleteTry it, I mean.
DeleteMy concern is with the Turks, not their religion. Sure they happen to be Muslims, but for me what matters is that they are "locusts" that need to swarm back to the Mongolian steppe/grasslands where they originate from.
ReplyDeleteThere is no Aegean dispute. Nothing to negotiate. Greece is an archipelago. The Turks simply want to continue their expansion at the expense of the indigenous people, the Greeks.
Bulgarians know how to deal with Turks.

ReplyDelete"Bulgarians know how to deal with Turks."
ReplyDeleteActually, in the mid 1980's when Turkey sent a drilling vessel right in the middle of the Aegean sea (i.e., Greek territorial waters). Greece was minutes away of sending its fighter jets to blow the vessel to kingdom come unless the vessel scampered home to its naval base (it did)... Greece also had a secret military alliance with Bulgaria to fight off the Turks if they dared to cross the Greek land border (which also borders Bulgaria). What really freaked out the Turks was that they had no idea what the Greeks were going to do. You see, the Americans had no idea either so there was no way the Americans could inform the Turks of what the Greeks were planning on doing.
Greece needs to improve relations with Russia. Needs to play off the superpowers. Irresponsible, if not downright stupid, to rely on the Americans who would side with Turkey in a heartbeat in any Greece-Turkey confrontation.
