Nas Dailly - Be Careful of Al Jazeera
Nas Dailly says that the English speaking Aljazeera puts out liberal views, but for its own domestic audience back home it does the opposite.
Could this be happening with other state broadcasters?
Same thing with Russia Today, IMO. But we take truth where we can get it, and if that means that we can have a forume for Steve Keen, Michael Hudson, Marshall Auerback, so much the better.
Yes, I was thinking of RT. It does have good programmes, though, like Going Underground, On Contact, Renegade Inc, but a lot of the other stuff is dodgy.
Yassin's collaborators include video-maker (and girlfriend) Alyne Tamir, an American-Israeli video-maker, and Agon Hare, a video blogger and musician from Poland.
In my opinion, it sounds like he's become a humanist, which from an Islamic position, is wrong. This because humanists glorify the created instead of the Creator.
Mike -- as we have been saying, you have to take the good with the bad: who would your rather watch, Max Keiser or Lou Dobbs??? We can accept a slice of Keiser as long as we can also watch Renegade Inc., Keen, Hudson, Auerback, you (if only that were the case), and other less mainstream types (including those who are "out-of-paradigm"). What hope is there for MMT proponents if even those types cannot get an airing?

Right. And is not just RT and Sputnik, but also also the supposedly state-sponsored venues that provide just about the only access to dissenting voices and alternative views, like allegedly "Russian" NEO and Strategic Culture Foundation.
And the narrative control is getting tighter all the time. The Internet is threatening the power structure. But it is also a tremendous source of revenue. So TPTB are trying to harness it without damaging the bottom line.

ReplyDeleteThe value of Al Jazeera or RT are the reporting they do, that the MSM won't.
ReplyDeleteHe claims that the charge that he is trying to "make Israel look good" is fake news. This is from his Wikipedia page:
ReplyDeleteAlthough raised Muslim, he has since stopped practicing Islam.
Here, he says he has created his own religion, called Nascissim (probably joking here):

Also, he has a Jewish girlfriend.
