Prof Buzgulin says Putin is a puppet of the Russian oligarchy, a powerful group of people who deliberately keep Russians poor. No different from the situation in America.
What the MSM doesn't tell you is what type of liberal Navalny is: A Milton Friedman neoliberal, and that his oligarch backers admire the fascist, Pinochet. Under Navalny there will be less democracy.
When these oligarchs are told that Pinochet murdered thousands, they say that he saved Chili & protected free markets. They want a dictator like him to come along and privatise everything, then destroy the left and the unions.
The Russians don't like Navalny: only 2 to 3% support.
The recent protests in Russia were more about the failed economic policies of Putin than support for Navalny, whose program may be even worse than Putin’s. The West loves Navalny because they think he will open Russia to U.S. finance capital. From Moscow, Prof. Alexander Buzgalin joins theAnalysis.news with Paul Jay.

The fact that Navalny is a vocal Kremlin critic and ardent opponent of Vladimir Putin has ensured that he has become somewhat of a media darling in the West. He is sometimes hailed as a hero in Western coverage. Time magazine once called him “Russia’s Erin Brockovich.”
What is reported less often about Navalny are his nationalist leanings, ties to neo-Nazi groups, xenophobic comments and extreme anti-immigrant views.
About par for the people that the US supports, followed by its lackeys, regardless of whether they are in power or trying to get power. Is this a coincidence or an honest mistake?
We should stop swimming in other people's soup.
