Why Joe Biden will continue the US war on Nord Stream 2 till the bitter end — Johanna Ross

As Johanna Ross observes, this is geopolitics and geo-strategy in the style of the grand chessboard on which great powers contend for control of territory.

What she doesn't point out is the that real objective of the US/UK is first forcing Russia to submit to US/UK imperial rule so that it can use this leverage on China's Western border, along with the Seventh Fleet and bases surrounding China to the east to force China into submission, thereby cement permanent US/UK hegemony as the first truly global empire.

Why US/UK ? The US is the next iteration of the British Empire, which initiated this global strategy long ago and has been pursuing it since, now as a shadow of the US as a result of the power shift post-WWII.

This grand strategy, of which Russia and China are well aware, is leading inexorably to a new arms race, another cold war, and a high likelihood of WWIII.

In this, the US is taking the lead and bears most of the responsibility. Actions since WWII reveal that the US has little to no sense of responsibility. (Putin: "Do you realize what you have done?")

  1. A "strategy" that has zero chance of success is a lark.

  2. We’re not “at war with Nordstream 2”...

Trump policy was to address the hypocrisy of BOTH having this big NATO defense edifice against “Russia!” WHILE AT THE SAME TIME doing big big business with Russia in the nat gas sector...

You guys are all big hypocrites (under deciders) so you wouldn’t understand the motivation of someone not hypocritical...

The trump policy was: if you’re going to keep doing nato, that’s fine then you can’t do Nordstream... if you’re going to do Nordstream then that’s fine but then we’re not doing nato... make a fcking decision...

Again you guys are all Art degree synthesizers who prefer to never make decisions so you don’t have any problems with hypocrisy so you’re not going to understand this...

  3. We can have a cold war and trade at the same time. It's hypocritical and profitable.

Where and when did Trump present that policy?

  6. He went with nato from the beginning of his administration..got the other countries to kick more in was bragging all about it... then if ez needed nat gas we could provide it to them via LNG to help reduce trade imbalances...

So then ofc he was getting them to kill Nordstream...

If they didn’t kill nordstream and trump stayed then he would have just said ok that’s fine and left nato...

You guys are big hypocrites so you’re not going to understand this type of behavior...

  7. https://www.aa.com.tr/en/energy/general/polands-pgnig-signs-long-term-deal-for-us-lng/22797

Bilateral deal with Poland already in place... could have just extended it to Germany, etc...

Just can’t do both... unless you are a hypocrite...

  8. For the record, I'm in favor of Canada quitting NATO.
