These speeches mark a turning point in world history. The present moment of the historical dialectic is driven in considerable part by unilateralism and multilateralism, unipolarism and multipolarism, and national sovereignty versus neoliberal globalization, win-win and zero-sum. While this is not new, these statement draw clear lines publicly.

  1. "Growth" for the global NSEW is not win-win, it is death.

These speeches are meaningless. Everyone is trapped within the unsustainable paradigm of economic growth. As the climate crisis deepens, there will be a shift from globalism to nationalism to localism. Survival of our species will depend on what happens locally. Those unable to organize and feed themselves within a given locality, will perish. That is our happy future.

Elites and their mercenaries will be focused on saving their sorry asses. Hope for we, but not for thee. That's not something they can give a speech about.
